It’s nice when you get confirmation of a decision. My old PC refused to boot up when I turned it on this morning. Which is a shame since I downloaded and was almost finished playing the Zombie Island of Dr. Ned.

Like other DLC it’s a quick play and I am almost finished. Except for the location and the fact that everyone is Zombie-fied, it’s like the rest of Borderlands. It’s good fun and via Steam it only costs $10.

I also had problems with an old PC. It took me some time but I got it running again.
Spare parts seem to be affordable.
What did you do, trash the PC?

Trash the old PC…? Not yet. 🙂
The problem with my old PC was that the Dell XPS uses huge cpu heat sink that’s part of the case. In order to get a new motherboard I would have either had to go to Dell or find one that has the CPU in the same location and depth as the old one.
Too much trouble. The old PC is a little dated and I had already upgraded the graphic board and did not want to spend money on it anymore.
The new one arrived yesterday. It’s twice as fast but weighs in at 32 lbs. My old Dell with it’s metal case came in at 81 lbs… I’ll post a picture tonight or tomorrow.

haha, i am curious for that picture. That sounds like a pain in the ass, having a heat sink attached to the case.

You’re in luck, I posted the picture here.
I was thinking of taking a better photo but the old PC is heavy.
